Ruth Stymiest Duff
Ruth S. Duff, 87, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Golden Years Estate, surrounded by her devoted family.
Born in New Jersey, NB, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Clara (Stymiest) Murray. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She attended the United Church. She enjoyed line dancing, knitting mittens and socks for children at The Moncton Hospital and baking. She loved vacationing at the family camp on the Miramichi.
Ruth will be dearly missed by her children, Douglas Duff, Paul Duff, Ralph Duff (Donna), Brenda Caissie (Charles), Dana Duff (Lori) and Wayne Duff (Maxine), all of Moncton; grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Amanda, Beverly, Jessica, Sarah, Kayla, Aaron, Melissa, Joey and Jason; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Marie MacDonald (Perley) of New Jersey, Thelma Hayward (late Clint) of Miramichi, Betty Reade (Douglas) of Moncton, Phyllis Davidson (George) of Church River and Mildred Savoy (late Richard) of Burnt Church; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Duff (September 2007); brother, Kenny Murray (late Ella).
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A private family service will be held. Interment in Burnt Church Cemetery at a later date.
