Eldon Laurie Geddes
Eldon L. Geddes, 72, of Gilbert St., Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Nayda (Briggs) and Willard Geddes.
Eldon was a former aircraft refueler at the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport with 20 years’ service and a member of the Buckskinners Muzzle Loading Association. Eldon enjoyed tending to his garden and tinkering in his garage, whether it be woodworking or restoring cars.
Eldon will be sadly missed by his daughters, Tracy Hale (Mark) of Riverview and Jennifer Brewer (Stacy) of High Prairie, AB; grandchildren, Chelsea, Lauren and Noah; stepdaughter, Penny Savard (Steven Partridge) of Head of Jeddore, NS; stepson, Stephen Savard (Bonnie) of Riverview; step granddaughters, Abigail, Beth and Emily; brother, Boyd Geddes and sister, Cathy Geddes, both of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Diane (Read) Geddes (2015).
A gathering to share memories and honour Eldon’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
