Benjamin "Ben" James Robinson

Benjamin J. Robinson, 91, of McNair Manor, Riverview and formerly of Shediac, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Born in Doaktown, he was the son of the late Freeman and Christie (Gaston) Robinson. 

Ben was an Insurance Agent with Sun Life for over 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, yard work and being outdoors. Ben especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren – taking them to the beach and camping, etc. 

Ben will be sadly missed by his daughters, Sherry Slater (late Bill) of Shediac and Susan Duquette (Danny) of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Jacki Robinson of Moncton; cherished grandchildren, Darren Slater (Barb), Kristy Smith (Shane), Denis Duquette (Sarah), Eric Duquette, Jeffrey Robinson, Katelyn Robinson and Scott Robinson; great grandchildren, Avery, Ryan and Jayden Smith, Robyn and Keegan Slater; sister, Bonnie Parker (Delbert); nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Berniece "Bea" (Amos) Robinson; son, Benji (2011) and sisters, Erma Brady and Ruth MacKenzie. 

The family would like to thank the Staff at McNair Manor for the loving care given to Dad over the past six years. 

A Service to celebrate and honour Ben’s life will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 51 Church St., on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1:30 pm with the Rev. Deacon Norman Dupuis officiating. Reception following the service. For those unable to attend the Funeral Service, we would be pleased if you could join us during the Reception. Interment will be in St. Martin’s-in-the-Woods Anglican Church Cemetery, Shediac Cape.
