Caroline Irma Steeves

Caroline I. Steeves, 85, of Moncton, passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Born in Cails Mills, she was the daughter of the late John and Eliza (Spencer) Cail.

Caroline was a self employed seamstress. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, a former Superintendent for St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Sunday School and served her church in various other capacities in past years. Caroline enjoyed knitting, playing the piano, cooking, socializing with her friends and spending precious time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Caroline will be sadly missed by her husband of 66 years, Raymond Steeves; children, Cathy Stafford (Chris), Rhonda Thompson (George) Kim Steeves (Anna-Marie), Krista Pinney (Steven) and Rev. Toben Steeves (Margaret); grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron LeClair, Jordan and Emma Thompson, Tristram and Eliza Pinney and Ross, Edward, Julie and Simon Steeves; sisters, Maxine Brooks (Walter) and Alice Cail; brothers, Jonathan "Donnie" Cail (Joanne) and Leslie Cail (Linda); as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Sarah Thompson.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Caroline’s life will be held from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 77 Hildegard Drive, on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Martin Kreplin leading the service. Reception in the Church Atrium following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
