Lena Kathleen Beukeveld
Lena K. Beukeveld, of Monarch Hall, Riverview, and formerly of Dieppe, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Monday, November 25, 2019.
Born in Moncton on July 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George and Maria (Allain) Wilson.
Lena was a loving wife, mother and Oma. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a working mother who balanced a career while also caring for her family. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an administrative assistant with Pittsburg Paints and later Atlantic Oliver. She was an avid movie fan, and also enjoyed her travels to Holland with her family. She was known for her selfless generosity, especially with her immediate family. Her affection for animals was evident with her love for the family cat, Tiger, as well as for furbaby Stella.
Lena will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Herman ; son John Beukeveld (Sandra) of Riverview, NB , grandchildren Erin and Adam ; daughters, Karen MacAulay (Glen) of Truro, NS, grandchildren Julie, Jacob and John; and Kim Beukeveld (Dale Wry) of Moncton; brother, George "Bobby" Wilson (Geraldine) and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A Service to celebrate and honour Lena’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Allison Carroll presiding. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre will follow the service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the excellent care and compassion given to her by the staff at Monarch Hall. The explementary care she received provided them with the reassurance that all her needs were looked after. Their caring, professional manner were a constant source of support for her, and for her family.
