James "Jim" Harry Daggett

James "Jim" Harry Daggett

James "Jim" H. Daggett, 79, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 25, 2020.

Born in Sudbury, ON, he was the son of the late Harry and Anne (Cuisson) Daggett.

Jim served with the Royal Canadian Navy before going to work for Carrington Glass in Sudbury and then transferred to BC as a Salesman for PPG Industries and then Shop Manager in Brantford, ON. He then transferred to Moncton where he worked with PPG, prior to opening his own glass shop, Future Glass Inc.

He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, watching TV, sailing and camping. In his earlier years, he played baseball, softball and football. Jim was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Ontario and the Rotary Club of Moncton.

Jim will be sadly missed by his wife, Yolande (Roy) Daggett; sons, Allan, Mark (Donna) and Craig; grandchildren, Jesse, Chantal, Cassandra and Nathan; sister, Helen Jane Lakso; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rona and brothers, Richard and John.

A funeral Mass to celebrate and honor Jim’s life will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 340 Dominion St., on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 12:00 pm, with Rev. Angus Johnston presiding. Interment will take place in Sudbury, ON.

Arrangements entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995).
