Judy Ann Steeves, 78, of Berry Mills, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Albert House Hospice. Born in Upper Coverdale, she was the daughter of the late Millen and Irene (Cole) Trites.

Judy worked in accounts at Eaton’s prior to the birth of her daughter.  She was very active in the church, working in the kitchen and helping out when needed.  She and her husband ran a vegetable U-Pick for over 10 years and continued to garden and make pickles.  She won many trophies and ribbons for her apple pies, flower arrangements and pickles.  She also loved baking for her family and friends, making flower arrangements and driving her daughter crazy.

Judy will be sadly missed by her husband of over 51 years, Jim, daughter Shelley (Jean Gignac) of Berry Mills; brothers Harold (Bea) Trites of Pine Glen, John Trites of Moncton and Gary (Heather) Trites of Upper Coverdale; sisters Mary (late Bill) Taylor, Betty (Late Tug) Wilson, Nellie (Donnie Lutes) (late Al) Hurley and Freda Kinden all of Moncton and by sisters-in-law, June Dawson, Sharron Steeves (Mark) both of Berry Mills and Diane (Denis Maillet) (late Terry) Steeves of Harewood and by several nieces and nephews.  She will be missed also by her special "other daughter" Stephanie Edgar (Damian MacLellan) and "grandson" Logan.

In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by sister, Emma McTavish; nephews Kristopher Kinden and Marc Hurley and niece, Tracey Steeves.

Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with visitation hours on Wednesday February 16, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

A Public Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 3:00 PM from Steeves Mountain Cemetery.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Driscoll Unit of Extra-Mural (extramuralnb.ca) as well as Hospice SENB (hospicesenb.ca) for the care and compassion shown to Judy and her family during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations to Steeves Mountain Cemetery, Driscoll Unit (Extra Mural), Moncton Hospice SENB or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
